Mail Boxes Etc.®, Inc. a UPS® company, is the world's largest franchisor of retail
shipping, postal and business service centers. The UPS Store® and Mail Boxes Etc.
together comprise more than 4,800 independently owned locations around the world,
providing convenient, value-added business services to consumers, "road warriors"
and the small-office/home-office (SOHO) market.
The Mail Boxes Etc. network and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation have teamed up to provide books to less fortunate children through the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.
Launched in March 2008, the Toys for Tots Literacy Program is the first year-round initiative of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and offers the nation’s most economically disadvantaged children the ability to compete academically and to succeed in life by providing them direct access to books and educational resources that enhance their ability to read and to communicate effectively.
As sponsors of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program, participating Mail Boxes Etc. locations will sell $1 donation cards to benefit the program during “March into Literacy Month,” a month-long celebration to commemorate the anniversary of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program . For every dollar donated, a book will be placed into the hands of a local child in need.
Centers will continue additional fundraising activities throughout the year, including a coin box program for customers to donate their spare change. Then, during November and December, participating locations will once again sell $1 donation cards.
One-hundred percent of all proceeds go to support local children and literacy programs. Just one dollar can make a difference in the life of a less fortunate child in your community!
Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. and its brands, Mail Boxes Etc. and The UPS Store, are the exclusive sponsors of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.
Thanks to your support, more than $800,000 has been contributed to the program since its inception, helping to deliver more than 800,000 books to children across the country.
